Meet our Instructors

Gary Ford has been a licensed Master Plumber since 1978, certified ASSE 5110 & ASSE 5130 technician since 1998.

Gary graduated from North Hennepin Community College in Building Inspection Technology, which allowed him to serve as Plumbing Inspector for the City of Fridley as well as the City of Maple Grove.

In addition to inspections, Gary taught for the State of Minnesota State Building Code Division with the BIT program and was also the head plumbing instructor for Century College. Once Century moved away from the plumbing program, Gary began his own education program. Plumbers have been expanding their knowledge with Gary for decades, no matter the industry subject matter.

In 2018, Gary transitioned ownership of his commercial plumbing business to his son, Cole. Since, he has focused on education for plumbing professionals, from Apprentice to Master.

Andy Hall began his plumbing career in 2000 and by 2005 was a Licensed Master Plumber.  In addition to his plumbing license, Andy has both ASSE 5110 and ASSE 5130 certifications allowing him to test and rebuild backflow prevention assemblies.

Plumbing education is not new to Andy.  He taught for Northwestern Technical College’s plumbing program in Bemidji, Minnesota for a number of years, until the institution discontinued offering a plumbing program.  In January 2023, Andy officially took over all Apprentice, Journeyworker and Master continuing education classes for Metro Testing.

When he isn’t busy working in the field or teaching, Andy enjoys time doing anything and everything outdoors with his friends and family in the beautiful Northland of Minnesota!
