ASSE 5110 New Tester Certification Course – June 12-16, 2023

• Thursday June 15, 2023 – 7am – 5:30pm
• Friday June 16, 2023 – 7am – 10am

Public health officials have long been concerned about cross-connections and backflow connections in plumbing systems and in public drinking water supply distribution systems. Such cross-connections, which make possible the contamination of potable water, are ever-present dangers. Qualify under new Minnesota training requirements (ASSE accredited). This course trains plumbers, sprinkler fitters, utility personnel, maintenance personnel and industrial and private water purveyors in procedures for testing and troubleshooting of back flow prevention assemblies. You will learn about the need for water supply protection, the potential hazards of cross-connection and the methods, devices, and assemblies available to protect the water supply. State and local rules and regulations will be discussed. In hands-on workshop sessions, you will learn to test and troubleshoot backflow prevention assemblies. Backflow test gauges will be available for your use.

This full 40-hour course runs Monday through Friday for New Tester only certification. Minimum of 5 years of water experience is a pre-requisite, ie, plumber, irrigation, etc…  Any cancellations must be received in the office a minimum of 14 days prior to class. No refunds 14 days prior to class, no exceptions. YOUR SEAT WILL NOT BE RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Full attendance is required. All classes are contingent upon having enough people enroll.

This course will be taught by an ASSE certified instructor in an ASSE certified school.  Registration with in two weeks of the class will result in a $50 late registration fee, which is charged by ASSE, not the school.
